Computational Genomics Summer Institute (CGSI) Session at RECOMB 2020

We are so excited to announce that we will be hosting a CGSI session at the upcoming RECOMB 2020 virtual conference! It is free to attend, but you do have to register for RECOMB for access. All are invited! More information regarding access will be emailed to you after you register for the conference.

RECOMB 2020 is the 24th edition of a series of algorithmic computational biology conferences bridging the areas of computational, mathematical, statistical and biological sciences. The conference features keynote talks by preeminent scientists in life sciences, presentations of ground breaking research in computational biology, selected over the course of a highly-rigorous peer-review process, and poster sessions on the latest research progress.

Our session will be taking place on Thursday, June 25th from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM pacific (6:00 PM to 8:00 PM eastern). The session schedule will be as follows:

Application Process

Rolling admissions begin on December 1st, 2020 and will continue until courses are at capacity. Applicants will receive notifications of decisions by email within two weeks after submission. If you are accepted, you will receive instructions on how to register. The registration fee amount depends on the date you submit your application (see deadlines).

Participant Accommodation​s

Participants of the first short course will be offered single or double occupancy rooms with private bathrooms in the UCLA residence halls, including a daily breakfast. Participants of the long program will be offered accommodations near the UCLA campus with communal bathrooms. Most rooms are double occupancy; a few single occupancy rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you would like housing for the short or long program, you will select it when you register and pay the appropriate fee. Please note that rooms may sell out.
