Short Course

The 2017 Computational Genomics Summer Institute Short Course will be held in the California Room at the UCLA Faculty Center.

The Faculty Center is situated in the heart of the UCLA campus, a short walk away from Mathematical Sciences, Boyer Hall, and IPAM. An attractive and comfortable private club that opened in 1959, the UCLA Faculty Center offers many well furnished meeting rooms, lounges, patios, and dining facilities are available for a wide range of social and professional activities.

Long Course

The 2017 Computational Genomics Summer Institute Long Course will be held in Room 130 at Boyer Hall and the IPAM Lecture Hall at the Portola Plaza Building.

Boyer Hall

Boyer Hall is home to the Institute for Quantitative and Computational Biosciences (QCB) and the UCLA-DOE Institute. The Sigman Room (Boyer 130) is an up-to-date classroom equipped with an LED display monitor and accommodates up to 50 participants.

Portola Plaza Building (IPAM)

The Portola Plaza Building houses the Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (IPAM), which offers a variety of courses for junior and senior scholars. The newly-renovated IPAM Lecture Hall seats 100 and includes state-of-the-art projection, sound, and lighting equipment.

Parking & Transit Information

There are a number of ways to access the UCLA campus from all over Los Angeles. Parking can be purchased on campus with cash or credit card. All-day parking feed range from US$6-12. Bus fare must be purchased with exact amount of cash (drivers cannot provide change) or in advance using cash or credit card with a Transit Access Pass. Single-ride bus fares range from US$1.00-2.50.
